Tibor Signature Series

!
New Reel Design From Ted Juracsik of Tibor!

Signed by Master reel designer and fly fisherman Ted "Tibor" Juracsik, the elegant and efficient design of the Tibor Signature Series consists of very few parts. It features a completely ventilated spool and frame that keeps the reel cool during long smoking runs and provides a robust incoming and outgoing clicker sound. Our unique mechanical clutch system allows easy change from left to right hand retrieve and features Tibor's QuickChange™ spool system which involves only a single moving part. The frame is also designed to accommodate one of our popular gamefish engravings or a custom image.

The Tibor Signature Series break-through sealed drag system is waterproof, self-maintaining and features the smoothest and strongest drag in the industry. The drag system constantly applies seal pressure while in free spool so the reel will never overrun while stripping line and is also equipped with our legendary silky smooth micro grain cork which is constantly lubricated. On the rare occasion that maintenance is necessary, the system can be easily disassembled, yet still remain under warranty–unlike many other sealed-drag reels on the market.

Proudly made in the USA and warranteed for life, Tibor Reels' new Signature Series delivers the same tough standards that have earned Tibor over 700 world records–more than any other fly reel. Contact your dealer or visit tiborreel.com today to find out more.

Our choice as the finest saltwater reels

Tibor reels were first introduced in 1995 and since that time have increased in reputation and popularity year after year. Saltwater gurus Flip Pallot and Lefty Kreh joined forces with head designer Ted Juracsik to come up with a reel that we feel is the finest saltwater reel on the market today.  We have personally used them hard for bonefish, permit and big tarpon, and have never had one fail in any way!  The mid-arbor design greatly increases line retrieval rates, which is critical when fishing for speedsters like bonefish, permit, barracuda, tarpon and billfish.  They have also been widely acclaimed by spey enthusiates for their capacity and overall balance on two-handed rods.  These reels have produced 234 world records brought to hand by their owners!   Probably the best part of this reel is the drag.  It utilizes a cork surface against the annodized aluminum spool but has three small ball bearing detents inset into the drag disc.  When a fish is running fast, the sound is as sweet as a BMW in-line 6 cylinder heading for the redline. You can fine tune the drag settings with a range far wider than other reels.     Standard colors are Satin Gold and Black but  we can order custom colors for an additional 10%:    Forrest Green, Blue Gray, Moss Green (matches Loomis Crosscurrent rods) Royal Blue (nice with Sage's Xi2 rods) Crimson, adn Graphite Gray.

Tasteful gamefish engraving is also available for a variety of fish.  Single $45, Two engravings $90, Grand Slam $90

The easy way to change spools!

The same great reel that has made a Tibor a leading name in the industry has now become an angler's dream if you need a reel with quickly interchangeable spools.   No more nuts, drag knobs or caps or small springs to get lost at sea.   Simply unscrew the large center cap and pop off the spool!  You can also do this without gettting that silicone grease all over your hands!  This new QuickChange Series allows anglers to change lines quickly and get back into action in a hurry.  A real advantage when fishing for tarpon or other fish when you need both a floating line and a slow sink or sink tip handy and ready to go.    Standard colors are Satin Gold and Black.  We can order custom colors for an additional 10%:  Forrest Green, Blue Gray, Moss Green (matches Loomis Crosscurrent rods) Royal Blue (nice with Sage's Xi2 rods) Crimson, adn Graphite Gray.

Where art meets function

Two-handed fly rodding gets a sure-handed Tibor update in this modern spin on one of fishing’s most hallowed traditions. Engraved with a Steelhead Trout and traditional Celtic knot pattern, the Tibor Spey reel features a modified drag system with a drag knob outlined in “witness marks.” These marks allow you to precisely set, loosen, keep track of and then reset your drag for the various tippet tensions required while striking, fighting and delicately landing larger fish.

The Tibor Spey also features our QuickChange™ spool system which allows you to change out spools on a moment’s notice. With only a single moving part – the one-piece stainless steel end cap – there is nothing to remove, no loose parts, tricky threading or alignments.

Finished in our non-reflective traditional moss green, and featuring its own unique spool design that’s also available with our SpeedHandle option, the Tibor Spey is precisely weighted and balanced for the heavier lines and rods used in this classic form of fishing. Like every Tibor product, it’s made and assembled in the USA, virtually maintenance-free and backed with their limited lifetime warranty.

Billy Pate Anti-Reverse (Starting at $500)

A true Classic...

1976 was a hallmark year for the fly fishing world. It was then that Ted Juracsik introduced his first Anti-Reverse Tarpon Reel designated the Billy Pate.

This series now includes three Anti-Reverse models, for rod weights 6-12. No other reel has matched the Billy Pate's durability and dependability day in day out, year after year, regardless of conditions, locale or species. This precision piece of equipment is designed and constructed to withstand the most demanding fly fishing environments. As with all reels that leave Ted's shop, the Billy Pate is virtually maintenance free.

While there are over 225 World Records that attest to its performance, you don't have to be interested in records to appreciate this reel. If you know your fly fishing history, you know this is the reel that set the hook.

Watch-like precision in smaller Tibor reels

The same great Tibor quality in a line of smaller lightweight reels, with a highly adjustable drum brake that allows a smooth drag.  The smallest size, the Spring Creek CL is designed for 3 and 4 weight lines.  The Tailwater CL is designed for 5 and 6 weight lines.  The Back Country CL wide is one of our favorite reels for snook and redfish.  All of these reels are designed to be used in both fresh or saltwater.  We think these are wonderful reels and great looking to boot!   Standard colors are available in Stain Gold, Jet Black, or Forest Green. We can order custom colors for an extra 10% in Blue Gray, Moss Green, Royal Blue, Crimson, and Graphite Gray.
