An unbelievable value in a saltwater fly reel!

This is the finest reel we have ever had in the shop at this price.  Not only is this new mid-arbor reel very good looking in a shade of dark Titanium, but it is extremely smooth.  It runs on three ball bearings and one roller bearing, much like the Tibor and Abel reels.  The carbon fiber drag has three very smooth bearing surfaces  that are self lubricating so they don't get too hot during a big run.  A nice drag adjust knob is easily adjustable on the side opposite the reel handle.  This reel has loads of power and in the larger sizes is a wonderful saltwater reel for anything from bonefish to tarpon.  We have used this reel for everything from bonefish and tarpon to big trout in Argentina and it has performed flawlessly.   In looking closely at this reel and how it performs, it really is worth more than $500, yet sells for half of that!

New, Lightweight BVK Fly Reel

BVK reels are precision machined from bar stock aluminum.  The clear silver anodized frames and spools are ported to eliminate excess weight.  Equally at home in both fresh and salt waters, the super large arbor design provides faster line pick up and helps the maintenance free drag system work at a more constant pressure that standard arbor reels.  Delrin/Stainless stacked discs make the drag silky smooth and the one way clutch bearing makes engagement instant and left to right hand conversion simple.
