The ULA P-Series represents the lightest end of the ULA range of reels. The P-Series utilizes a click-pawl brake to achieve maximum simplicity and weight savings. This reel is for the fisherman who wants to minimize weight and maximize contact with the fish. The P-Series reels are CNC machined from solid aerospace-grade aluminum and titanium in the U.S.  A lovely reel for small light rods. The P.1 is perfect for WF-3-F lines while the P.2 is designed for WF-4-F lines.

This is one of our favorite trout reels.  It is extremely light in weight yet tough with Lamson's extremely durable Hard Alox annodization.   The drag design is a conical system similar to the ULA fully sealed design which allows the same surface friction as drag systems twice the size. This fully adjustable drag has proven to be totally bulletproof.  The spool simply clips into place under pressure creating a totally waterproof seal. By utilizing a more traditonal structural design and foregoing the use of titanium Lamson is able to offer a very fine, high performance large arbor reel at a good price.   The LS 1.5 is just right for #3 and 4 weight lines, while the LS 2 is perfect for #5 and 6 weight lines. The LS 3 is perfect for a #7 line and the 3.5 is for #8 and 9 lines

The Lamson Konic is our pick for the best economical reel on the market. This reel incorporates the same fully sealed drag and stainless steel roller clutches as their high end reels.   Lamson cut down the cost of this reel by  casting it rather than machining it.  However, this is no normal cast reel.  Lamson Pressure Casts each one with molten ALDC12 aluminum aloy, injected at 1,080 kgs of pressure, making it stronger and more consistant than standard gravity casts.  The drag parts are still machined - giving you the best of both worlds - a great reel at a great price.
