Shimazaki Dry Shake

Works great with larger dries!

Quick and easy to use, your fly will be back on the water in two shakes. Simply open the large diameter top and put your fly in, (leaving the tippet attached).  We recommend that you not close the lid tight however, as it may put a kink in your tippet. A few quick shakes and your fly is doused, dry, and ready for action!  A true favorite for guides floating larger freestone rivers like the Yellowstone, Madison, or Big Hole.

Now available Gray - A nice "blue dunn" color that is perfect for Baetis, Midges,  Tricos, or any other flies which are naturally darker in color.

Frogs Fanny

Great for CDC and small flies

Do you enjoy fishing spring creeks or tailwaters with small dry flies? If so, this is the ultimate floatant for you!  You can choose to apply the silicate to your fly directly with Frog Fanny's application brush, or you can shake it on like Dry Shake.  One thing we like about Frog's Fanny is its consistency.  The entire bottle is all a fine powder, where as the bottom of a Dry Shake bottle has larger, more granular crystals, similar to kosher salt.  We've found the Frog Fanny's finer powder better than anything  for drying your flies and getting them to ride high and dry, especially those CDC patterns.

A lot of guides like the larger Dry Shake bottle.  They will buy Dry Shake first, use about half of it, and refill their Dry Shake bottle with Frog's Fanny.  This gives them the convenience of a quick shake, along with the finest silicate powder!

Loon Dust

Dunn Colored Dust from Loon

Almost exactly similar to Frog's Fanny, (with Brush and all), Loon Dust is another fine powder silicate.  The main difference is that the powder is a darker, off-white color.  Not quite as dark as Dry Shake's Gray powder, this floatant is ideal for PMD's, Sulphurs, Caddis, and March Browns.

Loon Aquel

Consistent Viscosity no matter what Temperature!

In recent years, this floatant has been by far the number one choice for Outfitters and guides.  The main reason for this is that its consistent viscosity changes little from hot to cold.    That means when you’re fishing a midge hatch in the middle of the winter you'll never have to squeeze the bottle as hard as you can, only to get a tiny bit of hard floatant out.  Or, when you are hopper fishing in the middle of August, and forget to re-cap your bottle, it won't leak like water all over your vest!  Give it a try, we think you'll appreciate using this product...

You'll want to use this product on your flies when they are dry, straight out of your fly box.  Once your fly has hit the water, you're better off drying your fly off with Dry Shake or Frog's Fanny, and then re-applying Aquel.   (And yes, you really should have both).

George Gehrke's GINK

The Original squeeze bottle Dry Fly Dressing

Time tested, Yellowstone Angler approved!  George Gehrke's GINK has been around for a long time.  GINK melts at skin temperature and won't cake small hackles like silicones do.  Skates Steelhead and Salmon Flies across currents with a waking vengeance for more explosive strikes. Also useful for keeping your leader or tippet floating in the surface film.   This floatant is used by more fly fisherman than any other dressing in the world!

Perma Fly Spray

DWR (Durable Water Resistant) for Flies!

A real favorite of Floatant Fanatics.  The beauty of this spray is that it doubles as water repellent for hats, vests and waders.  It’s designed to last all day and penetrate deep into flies and other breathable surfaces.  We recommend you spray your flies the day before you're on the water, allowing the DWR formula to be absorbed for 24 hours.

Fly Sauce

Say No To Oil Slicks!

Derived from a perfect blend of silicones, this sauce will keep your fly floating longer than most floatants.  Sick of seeing one of those lighter fluid oil slicks around your fly?  Fly Sauce (by Angling Evolutions) is one of the most environmentally safe fly dressings on the market.   Fly Sauce is also odorless and temperature stable like Loon's Aquel (see above).

Poo Goo

With A Name Like Poo Goo It Has To Be Good!

Designed by famous California angler Andy Puyans, Poo goo is stickier than any other floatant on the market.  True, it takes a little extra to get it off your fingers, but it will also keep your dry flies floating longer.  Another technique we've discovered which works great is to apply Dry Shake or Frog's Fanny to your fly immediately following Poo Goo.  The silicate powder sticks to the Poo Goo, making your first few drifts over a fish unbeatable.

Mucilin

!

This stuff has been around since Hardy started printing catalogs!

Ahh... the classic English Floatant.  Available with silicone (green) or without (red).  Mucilin  is denser than most other formulas, which makes applying it less messy when you are coating a fly or your leader. Another good product for greasing your line, leader or tippet to get it to float.    It has a loyal following of anglers around the world and still remains as one of the best in the business after all these years.
