George's Favorite

What makes Angler’s Image line clipper my all time favorite?  Simply their ability to stay sharp far, far  longer than any clippers I've ever  used.  Nothing dulls clippers faster than cutting  large diameter 60-80 lb. fluorocarbon for tarpon leaders.  Most clippers last about a week.  These have lasted me two full seasons!  About 100 days of tarpon fishing - and they are still sharp!    They come with a  sharp retractable needle good for cleaning out the eyes of hooks down to very small hook sizes.   The D-ring at top is handy too for holding the hook of your fly  while you tie a Homer Rhode loop knot or straighten out your tarpon leader.

Razor Sharp!

This nipper has the same stainless steel cutting blades as the line clipper above but comes with a shorter needle that is non-retractable.  A great alterrnative if you can get by without the longer retractable needle.  Also, the blades can be easily re-sharpened with a fine diamond file or stone.

Time Tested Guide Favorite

These nippers are made for Orvis by Tiemco in Japan, using the finest steel that we've found holds an edge longer than most other clippers.   The opposite end also contains a small needle that is handy for removing any glue or cement in the eye of your flies.  They cost more than the cheap imitations, but these will last five times as long!
