Rio's new pemier fly line - a winner!

This new line from Rio is destined to become their best trout fishing line. This line features a new design that allows for incredible loop stability at distance, a unique taper that allows a rod to load at close range and a positive font taper that delivers perfect presentation.  The long back taper is helpful when mending line and roll casting.  The running line and head are two different colors, making it easy to see exactly where the head is in relation to the rod tip, so that you can find the perfect loading point for your casting style.   The line also feature's Rio's new XS(extreme slickness) technology for extraordinary slickness, improved flotation, and dirt repellancy.  Color: Moss Head with Gold running line.

A very popular line for Fast Action Fly Rods!

Designed a half size heavier to more easily load newer fast action graphite rods.  It also incorperates Rio's Super Flotation technology and Agent X which allows for the line to float higher and longer. The line comes with a welded loop manufactured into the line to provide easy access to changing leaders.

Rio Nymph Fly Line

A great line for both nymph and dry fly fishing.

Whether you prefer to use an indicator, high stick or dead drift techniques this line will do it all.  Designed with a long back taper to help with mending and casting weighted nymphs or wind resistant indicators.  The high visibility orange tip with welded loop works as a built in indicator and allows for easy leader changes.  This line will greatly improve your ability to see strikes and react quickly allowing you to hook more fish.   We have not found that the high visibility tip spooks any fish when used in dry fly fishing.

Rio DC 7 ft. Sink Tip

A Sink Tip that gets you down just a foot or two, when you don't want to go deeper.

These density compensated lines have a more heavily weighted forward portion, to get the fly down more quickly and keep your line straighter as you retrieve, making it easier to hook fish when they take your fly.    The DC 7 foot sink tip is good for smaller rivers & streams that require less distance on your cast and don't require you to get the fly down more than a few feet.  Built with a balanced length of thick floating belly to eliminate any hinge during the casting stroke that so often occurs when fishing sink tip lines. .

The best sink tip lines we've found!

These density compensated lines have a more heavily weighted forward portion, to get the fly down more quickly and keep your line straighter as you retrieve, making it easier to hook fish when they take your fly.  The DC 15 ft sink tip is the perfect line for getting your nymph or streamer down on most big western rivers like the Madison or Yellowstone.  These lines are built  with a balanced length of thick floating belly to eliminate any hinge during the casting stroke that so often occurs when fishing sink tip lines.

We stock these in several sink rates.  The type 4 sinks quite rapidly but if you need it to go down really fast pick the type 6 or even the type 8.

The Best Sinking Tip line when you need to go deep in big fast running rivers.

An absolute favorite of streamer fishermen and steelhead anglers.  This is wonderful casting fast sinking head line. These density compensated lines have a more heavily weighted forward portion, to get the fly down more quickly and keep your line straighter as you retrieve, making it easier to hook fish when they take your fly.  Rio's DC lines have also proven to be some of the most durable fly lines we've found.   If you have a #7/8 rod, get the 200 gr.  For a #9 get the 250 gr., and if you are using a #10 pick the 300 gr.

This is a cold water line.  For saltwater use pick the DeepSea Version.

Reach out to longer distances with ease!
Designed to load high performance rods quickly with fewer false casts and to cast longer distances more easily that with a standard line.  The head is 37.5 feet - rather than the 30 feet of a standard  AFTMA line.  The Supple coldwater core and coating, combined with a taper design unique to each model, plus a tangle free running line, ensure the longest flight time for your distance cast.  Color: Yellow head, green running line.  Length: 120ft.

Lets you cast farther than you've ever dreamed!

This new saltwater line from RIO allows anglers to cast unbelievable distances yet turns over forcefully with the Clouser style head that puts more weight up front.   Like the coldwater version, the head on this line is 37.5 feet long making it heavier than a standard line.   This line has a small diameter, solid monofilament "powerflex" core with a hard saltwater tropical coating.   This line is longer than a standard line, at 120 feet, but you'll need that much running line when you see how long you can launch it!  This line will really impress your friends!   Welded loops on both ends for easy rigging.  Color: Sky Blue with Tan running line.    A wonderful bonefish line when you need to get that 10-20 extra feet.  Not as good as more standard lines in very windy conditions.

The best saltwater line to use to get DEEP!
This super-fast sinking fly line has a smooth stiffer tropical coating over a very strong Powerflex monofilament core.   This line is similar to the DC 24 foot line but is stiffer for tropical use and has a slightly longer 26 foot Density Compensated head.   This is the perfect line for tarpon when you need to get down into those deep channels and also for sailfish and marlin and tuna, when you need to go deep.
