Sharkskin Ultimate Trout Taper

Already A Classic Among Trout Anglers Worldwide!

What is Sharkskin?  Scientific Anglers has modified the surface of these new flylines with a "geometric micro repeating structure", or in other words "texture".  This line actually sits on top of the water rather than half of it sitting in the water, with  the valleys in the texture that actually trap and hold air.  With the line sitting higher in the water you experience less drag, easier mending, easier roll casting, easier pick ups, and less water spray.  Another benefit with this line is improved shootability.  With just the ridges of the line touching the guides, there is less friction on the guides while casting which translates to higher line speed and improved shootability.  The micro texturing process virtually eliminates surface glare on the line, the finish is completely flat, eliminating the line flashing in the air, spooking fish.  Through harsh testing, SA has determined that Sharkskin lines are 3 times as durable as other lines. Does the sound take some getting used to?  Yeah, it does.

All The Advantages Of The Sharksin Lines With A GPX Taper

This is Scientific Anglers classic general presentation taper combined with the recent Sharkskin technology. This is made half a size heavier to better load fast action rods. This is designed to excel for most flies and conditions. It is also excellent in windy conditions. Sharkskin technology makes this very popular taper of fly line even more versatile. Advantages of the Sharkskin include superior shootability, improved flotation, and AST chemistry to strengthen coating and increase durability of this line. Color is Optic Green.

Sharkskin Magnum

Sharkskin Line For Mega Big Flies And Strike Indicators

We like these espeically for fishing nymphs and strike indicators. The Sharkskin technology delivers the ultimate in flotation and casting and will really outlast your standard floating fly lines. One of the finest fly lines of all time!

Built with a slightly longer belly than the Trout Taper taper, this line is a half size heavier to more fully load the newer fast action graphite rods.  This line utilizes SA's new Dry Tip technology, that keeps the tip of the fly line floating higher than other lines.   perfect for those who want to fish one line in a variety of situations.  One of our most popular lines, a proven winner.

Trout Taper

!

This is the best line for medium power rods where accuracy and delicate presentation is critical.

Designed with a versatile taper to handle most trout flies combined with a supple coating with low memory & high floatation.  This line is delicate and accurate at all ranges and performs well in even the nastiest weather. This line is a great choice if you're looking for a line for the Spring Creeks, tailwater fisheries or anywhere accuracy and presentation are critical at short to medium range.  Our favorite standard weight line, perfect for softer rods.

Exact Presentation Taper!

A shorter belly than the Trout Taper but with a slightly longer front taper, this line is designed for close distance fishing we find on the spring creeks or any smaller water. Its ability to delicately deliver a fly in short to medium distances is exactly what is needed when you are floating a PMD over a fish that has seen hundreds of presentations in the last two days. This line is softer than most and performs extremely well in colder weather,  making it ideal for fishing the creeks in any season.

Bonefish

!

Unmatched Performance for Tropical Conditions!

This is our choice for the best all around bonefish line for the majority of anglers.  Designed with a stiffer braided monofilament core line that resists tangles in hot, humid weather, this line casts beautifully at both short and long distances.    When you are stalking wary fish and a delicate presentation is critical,  this is your line. These lines are designed with a short 6.5 foot front taper and a belly that gradually tapers larger towards the tip of the line.  The horizon light blue color blends perfectly into the sky when seen from a bonefish's point of view, and you are less likely to spook fish on your false casts than with brighter (or darker) colored lines.

Tarpon

!

The Ultimate Shallow-Water Low-Visibility line for tarpon and permit!

Similar to SA's Bonefish line, this line utilizes a braided monafilament core that gives it the stiffness needed in hot, tropical climates. These are stiff lines that need to be stretched before use,  but rarely tangle when you hook that big tarpon or permit, and have to clear your line in a hurry. These lines are designed with a short 6.5 foot front taper and a shorter belly than the bonefish line.  This puts more weight up front, allowing the rod to load more quickly but also giving you the ability to turn over larger flies in a  hard wind.  The stiffer monofilament core greatly improves the shootability and distance an average angler can cast with this line.  The color is  low visibility lt.blue horizon.

Tarpon Slow Sinking Line

!

Perhaps the best casting line of all time!

With the same great features as the Floating Tarpon Taper,  this slow sink line gets your fly down 4-10 feet, allowing you to put the fly where it needs to be much of the time.  Perfect for medium depth channels or when fishing pods of tarpon that are not showing themselves much.   The advanced taper is perfect for the windy situations that so many saltwater anglers endure on a daily basis.  One of our all time favorite lines to cast and fish.  Since it is clear, it blends into the water, making it a lot less visible to the fish.

Wet Tip

Multi-Sitiuation Sink Tip Line!
Designed with a graduated density and tapered tip which makes this the smoothest casting sink tip line available.  Excels in moving water situations were line control is a must.  Its ideal for streamers and wet flies for trout, steelhead & salmon.

Streamer Express

Throw long and get deep quickly!

One of our favorite casting lines, this sinking head line is built with a small diameter, solid monofilament core and a very slick finish allowing it to shoot like crazy.  Designed specifically for the chuck and duck all stars that show up every spring and fall, this line is the answer to a streamer fisherman's prayer!   . This line will keep your streamer in the optimal strike zone the entire time of the retreive.  Its a perfect line when fishing from a drift boat and really helps getting the right action out of weighted and unweighted streamers.  We have found the core to be unusually strong.  The only thing: don't grease your running line with Russ Peaks or any other line cleaner or it will make it stickier and harder to cast.
