Gmax FX Flourocarbon

Same high strength as GrandMax but more supple!
A much softer version of the highly acclaimed Gmax tippet material, Seaguar FX tippet is perfect for technical nymphing and dry fly fishing where getting a drag free drift is critical.  We've fount this material to be even better than GrandMax for drag free presentations on the Spring Creeks and tail waters we fish.  High knot strength, good abrasion resistance and very low visibility make this tippet a great choice for big and ultra selective trout.  Just try to break 5X or 6X in your hands you'll be amazed with the strength of this material.  7X seems as strong as the 5X we used just a few years ago.  This material pays for itself in the increased number of fish you'll land as well as the flies you'll keep!

The strongest tippet material we've ever tested!

Seaguar GrandMax is a relatively new fluorocarbon tippet material, and when it came out a few years ago, our tests confirmed that it was stronger than any other material we've tested when similar diameters were tested. This is terrific tippet material that works great for fishing drys, nymphs or streamers.   This is a moderately stiff material but and casts beautifully.   It is so strong for its size that it feels like you stepped up to the next larger size!   You'll break far fewer flies off and land more fish.    We have found that this is fantastic tippet for saltwater fishing and we use it exclusively on all our Yellowstone Angeler bonefish and permit  leaders.  It has proven to have a longer life than most tippet material.

Rio Fluoroflex Plus

!

One of our most popular flourocarbon tippet materials.  Rio's Flouroflex plus is nearly invisible underwater, has incredible abrasion resistance and superior wet knot strength compared to regular monofilament.  Like any of the premium fluorocarbon materials it is expensive but you'll land more fish with it and lose fewer flies in the process.   You've spent a lot of money for your tackle but your tippet is perhaps the most critical link between you and the fish.  This is no place to compromise.
