These EXS series are now all 4piece rods. They are very light, yet responsive and powerful. Best of all, they are extremely durable due to the final wrap of a fused silicate that provides a whole new level of impact resistance. You'll never have to worry about that split shot hitting your tip on the forward cast, or a big tarpon fly slamming into the tip. These rods are TOUGH. They are also beautiful rods and very nicely finished. The trout rods are a handsome dark green quartz finish, while the saltwater rods from 10 on up to 12 are a dark sapphire blue quartz.

These are medium/fast to fast action rods but they have more flexible tips that allow them to cast very accurately and load well at shorter distances. We were impressed at how well these rods performed, even when compared to our most expensive rods.

The trout rods use nickel silver uplock seats with top of the line cherry burl inserts, while the saltwater rods use a tough silver aluminum anodized reel seat with short fighting butt. All EXS rods come with cloth bags and hard cases.

Sage Custom built Spey Rod

This was built from a 9123-3pc. blank and is is very good condition. This rod is a 12 1/2 foot rod for a #9 line.   The rod has two stripping guides, tip top and the rest are one foot guides.

A nice rod at a great price.     Includes a cloth bag and aluminum tube.                    Was $250.00   Now:  $175.00

Abel 9' #10/11 weight.  This is a rod used by George Anderson, but in great condition.  3pc model with rod case. This was George's favorite Permit rod before the Loomis GLX rods appeared.  This rod has a stiff action, but with a #11 line, throws a heavy and wind resistant crab fly like a charm.  Call for pics.   New $600.00.   Now: $295
