For more than 25 years, George Anderson’s Yellowstone Angler has provided thousands of fly fishermen the gear and advice they need to be better anglers.  We fish the Yellowstone River, Madison River, Yellowstone Park, Missouri River, Bighorn River, Armstrong's Spring Creek, DePuy's Spring Creek, Nelson's Spring Creek, Boulder River, and many more Montana Rivers & Lakes .  Need a Montana fishing guide?  We are a booking agent for some of Montana's most in demand fly fishing guides.  These guides love their job, and are eager to share a Montana fly fishing experience with you.  There is a difference between knowing where big fish should be and where big fish are!  More importantly, these top Montana fly fishing guides understand that you are out here to have fun!

The Yellowstone Angler, a full service fly shop in Livingston, MontanaOur store is located in scenic Livingston, Montana, on the banks of the Yellowstone River, just up the road from the world famous Paradise Valley spring creeks. The Yellowstone Angler provides a fly selection of over 1800 patterns and sizes, for everything from Montana trout (big browns, rainbows, and cutthroat) to fly fishing for bass, pike, steelhead, salmon and the numerous varieties of saltwater game fish (big tarpon, permit, bonefish, snook, redfish, and barracuda). You’ll enjoy our broad selection of fly rods (Winston Fly Rods, Sage Fly Rods, G-Loomis Fly rods, Albright Fly Rods, St. Croix, Temple Fork Fly rods, and Tom Morgan Fly rods), reels (Ross Reels, Tibor reels, Abel reels, Temple Fork reels, G. Loomis, Orvis, Hardy, ect.), other fly fishing tackle, as well as outdoor clothing, fly fishing artwork, and gift items.

We specialize in flies, fly fishing tackle, and booking guided trips for the Paradise Valley spring creeks, private trophy lakes, Yellowstone Park waters and the Yellowstone River, but you'll also find a wide selection of gear for fly fishing around the world.  We're also experts on saltwater fly fishing, from bonefish, permit, and tarpon to rooster fish, snook, redfish, barracuda, sharks, and billfish.

Our goal is to help you have a great fly fishing trip, whether in Montana or half way around the world. Our staff are all accomplished fly fishermen, and many of us travel world wide in search of new and exciting fly fishing destinations. Please join us on one of our many hosted fly fishing trips around the world...

You'll love being treated like a friend at the Yellowstone Angler.  Our name and great reputation will bring you out here, our friendly atmosphere here in the shop along with quick, personal service will bring you back. We are always happy to take the time to help you get started in fly fishing, give advice on more complex tackle requirements, or just answer your questions on fishing, Montana stream conditions and local hatches.

The newsletter will also feature articles about what is happening at the shop, international fly fishing travel hosted trips we are doing, updates on Montana fly fishing and special fly fishing tackle deals.
