The wider fit accommodates a heavy liner/neoprene foot wader combination without constriction. The quick-drying reinforced mesh continuously drains water and is reinforced with synthetic leather. Gusseted neoprene tongue, ample padding and stiffer construction protect the ankles, while a stout toe box/heel and rubber rand shield against stone bruises. The polyester/nylon felt sole provides durability and excellent underwater traction. Resoleable.

Up to now, the neoprene "flats booties" offered to salt water anglers have been recycled divers' equipment, with minimal ankle support and foot protection. The hard rubber sole of the Marlwalker will protect you from sharp coral, sea urchin spines, and broken beer bottles (in and out of the boat). The mesh upper drains quickly and the comfortable neoprene tongue keeps sand and coral from migrating into the shoe. We have found it best to wear the Marlwalkers with a wear a pair of Capilene Liner Socks. This Marlwalkers are twice as much money as most other flats booties but that's because they're twice as good!
