The Yellowstone been fishing well lately, we had several days last week that we would even consider to be red hot.   The rainbows have been chomping hard, many over 16 inches with thick sides and lots of fight in them.  The brown buck’s are colored up and looking good for the even brighter hens.  Streamers have been working if you’re looking for a big one.  At this point any color should work, the trick is just getting your fly in front of one.  The dry fly fishing has been solid as well with parachute adams, purple haze, and fall Mahoganies.   With the forecasted light snow/rain coming in Wednesday through Friday, we should see a serious baetis pop this week.  If you decide to nymph, try a mix of small beadheads, baetis nymphs, and whitefish egg patterns.
