Clarity at Mallard's Rest 4/2 - green is good for now...

Yesterday it was 67° here in Livingston, with surprisingly no wind.  The next couple days should also be in the 60’s, which will likely be adding a tint of color to the river.  The Lamar has been coming up quickly, suggesting snow in the park has been melting.  Hopefully most of the low elevation snow will melt now and by the time Mother’s day caddis starts the river will be clear enough to fish dries.  For now the river is still fishable but things could change as we get closer to the weekend, especially with an expected 60% chance of rain on Friday…
