Although Winter fishing is here to stay, windows of warmer weather do show up from time to time.  A savvy angler and internet user can quickly find out what areas of the state look like they are going to fish well on paper.  You certainly don’t want to waste gas, time, and money if the wind is going to punish you, or if slush is getting in the way of your drag free drift.  In general, tailwaters are a safer bet for more consistent conditions, you just have to check to see what the wind is doing.
