Clarity at Carter’s Bridge 5/13 7:45AM

The clarity on the Yellowstone is enough for the fish to see caddis, but we have yet to see the major emergence. That said, we have been seeing hundreds of caddis on certain banks but very few rising fish, if any, so far… For now tailwater near and far or the Paradise Valley spring creeks are going to be your best bet. We are expecting a couple of good dry fly days on the Yellowstone next week, with temps jumping into the 70’s and the 80’s by next weekend. Of course, this will be short lived since the same warm temps that get the caddis going will start to melt the snow and the Yellowstone will likely be in runoff until late June.
