Clarity Monday 4/29 7:55AM

Clarity has improved over the weekend although the Yellowstone is still off color.  Just above Carter’s the river looked to have a little less than a foot of visibility.  Before the cold spell anglers were just starting to see caddis, especially near the mouth of the spring creeks.  With the next couple days staying cold the river should clear a little more, then with temps into the 60’s by Friday fingers are crossed for some weekend caddis action.  The next couple days could be a good day to go for a big one.

The Spring Creeks have been fishing very well lately with midges in the morning, baetis from 10:00 to 5:00 and midges again in the evening.  If you are on DePuy’s, there have also been some caddis emerging on warmer afternoons.  Lots of rainbows are in and the fishing has been steady.  Rod fees are currently $80 per rod.  Give us a call if you’d like to book a trip! 406-222-7130.
