A beautiful hen caught on a Callibaetis from one of the lakes we fish...

With many of our freestone rivers still running muddy, local and private fee lakes have been a fun option. Depending on the elevation of the lake, the Callibaetis hatches have been coming off thick and the fish have been happily feeding on nymphs, duns, and spent spinners.  Leeches, scuds, snails, damsels, hoppers, and water boatmans have also been working well.  Now is a great time to get out there and enjoy some great dry fly fishing before the big ones get smarter.  Give us a call to book a trip!  1-406-222-7130.
