With recent rain and the Yellowstone still being tiger striped with clear stretches and mug plugs we’ve been sending folks over to the Upper Madison.  Although the flows are low on the upper the fishing has been terrific, with both dries and smaller beadhead nymphs.  The Yellowstone has also been fishing very well with Chubby/rubby, beadhead nymphs, sculpin, and evening caddis.  Savvy guides have been able to find where the mud plugs are and get either down stream in front of the mud, or beat it by floating above the mud plug.  Fishing in these clear sections has been very good since the fish are hungry and actively looking for food.  Give us a call for the latest river report… 406-222-7130.
