John Bond with a nice afterwork brown...
Logan, rocking the rally cap and a Trude...

We thought there might be one last window for caddis, but none of us thought it would be this good!  If you are looking to be in the bulk of the bugs the bird float has been good.  Looking at the webcam at Pine Creek the clarity is still good today.  The graphs on the Lamar and Corwin did come up, but have also dropped already…  In other words, go until it blows!  Several boats have mentioned non-stop action the past couple days, with trout numbers well into the 30’s.  It was slower for us yesterday, (maybe they were gorged?) but we still caught several nice trout on dries and a few solid browns on streamers.   The whitefish were certainly going nuts in the foam edges, perhaps it was their turn to feed as the trout ate hard the day before.   One boat said they had the best dry fly fishing they’d ever seen on the Yellowstone, another said they caught as many as they wanted between 6:00-7:30.  Thumbs up for today, give us a call for this weekend – hopefully the clarity will hang in there…
