The last three days we’ve had a bit of warmer weather, today the high was near 50°. Unfortunately (fish fishing tomorrow and next week anyway), the forecast is calling for 40-60% snow and temperatures between 19-33°. The good news is that the new snow should bring our snow pack average up a little, which is currently sitting at 89% for the Upper Yellowstone basin. Currently town is free of ice, however the city of Livingston is doing construction on the KPRK bridge and floating from Mayor’s to 89 is prohibited until further notice. The Valley is still full of ice and looks like it will stay that way for quite a while. The Spring Creeks are still the best game in town, but if you’d rather fish the yellowstone try a mix of midge clusters, midge larva, rubberlegs / bead heads, and slowly swung streamers…
