Seems like every river in Montana last week experienced better than average streamer fishing – the fish are most likely chasing a little better due to colder nights and cooler water temperatures.  The browns on the Yellowstone are still hard to find, but good news if you find them they have been in the mood to eat.  White and Olive have been good colors for us this Fall.  Yellow or brown are always solid standbys.  CFS in town is now around 1600, which means you won’t be able to take the left channel or pull out at 9th easily.  For dries try a mix of hoppers, crickets, parachute adams, purple haze, and hecuba drakes.  For nymphs go with a rubber leg and small baetis…
