We apologize for our lack of recent fishing reports – we have been diligently working on our “Wader Shootout” which has finally been completed!  (Click the photo above if you’d like to check it out).  As for the fishing, the Yellowstone is starting to fish a little better, although the creeks have definitely been more consistent at producing fish.  A few brave souls have been floating through town from Carter’s to Mayor’s .  The stretch from Mayor’s to 89 is still closed to float fishing (wade fishing is permitted 1000 feet above and below the KPRK bridge), and could be remain closed until the bridge project has been completed, (scheduled for September 15th, 2013).  Midge clusters, hanging midges, and midge larva will be working in the foam eddies, otherwise try nymphing with a rubberleg followed by a size 16-18 prince, copper john, or PT.  Black has been the most consistent for streamers (we flipped some rocks the other day and found two big, matte black scuplin).  As for the Creeks, there have actually been some Spring baetis popping on the warmest days, otherwise plan on fishing midges, scuds, egg patterns, leeches, and smaller streamers…
