Unfortunately we’ve still had plenty of cold and wind over here on the Yellowstone. Each morning this week there has been slush ice floating on the surface. Some days the slush has melted by the afternoon and on some days it stays, making it hard to get a good drift. Either way the fish have been sluggish with not a whole lot of action unless you can find warmer water. The Spring Creeks have been decent. Midges and midge larva have been working well, along with scuds, dark sparse baetis nymphs, sow bugs, and small leeches. Give us a call for a slush or wind report anytime. 1-406-222-7130.
