Finally it looks like some snow is on the way.  Currently we are sitting at 79% snow pack and wondering what kind of year is shaping up for the Stone next season.    They say La Niña is supposed to bring us all that and more in late January/ Feb/March.  I guess we’ll see…  If you’ve been over here lately you have probably developed a hatred for wind as well.   If that’s not enough of a challenge, as of  yesterday we started seeing slush ice floating down stream and lots of ice shelves building up along the edges and slower holes again.  You might be able to squeak a drift boat through, but we do not recommend floating during the winter months.  The benefits simply do not out-weigh the risk and effort.  Wade fishing this weekend may a little slow too with the front moving in – today is calling for sun and 55 mph winds.  At least Sunday is cloudy and dropping to 35 mph.
