View from Mallard’s Rest Wednesday 5/24

The Yellowstone appears to have peaked, (22,000 CFS on 5/24), although we still have our eyes peeled. Snow pack is down to 54% snow/water equivalent on the Upper Yellowstone watershed. Looking up at the amount of snow in the Absaroka mountains around Livingston and in Paradise Valley it seems like the Yellowstone should clear sooner than later this year. Barring unexpected heavy rains, we think the Yellowstone will be fishing well by late June.

CFS flows at Carter’s Bridge the past week.

An early morning rise on DePuy’s Spring creek last Wednesday (5/24).

While the Yellowstone is still muddy we are focussing on the Paradise Valley Spring Creeks as well as Tailwaters near and far. The Lower Madison has been fishing well, as have the Missouri and Big Horn. Give us a call for the latest report or to book a trip! 1-406-222-7130.
