Located in the heart of Yellowstone Country, Livingston is a town that has long been famous for its trout fishing, a little flavor of the Old West, and some of the most spectacular scenery in the Rocky Mountains.

The Yellowstone Angler is located 1/2 mile south of I-90 on US Hwy. 89 at the edge of Livingston, Montana. Our store is a spacious 4000 square feet of space devoted to gear, tackle, clothing, and accessories, as well as one of the best assortments of flies you’ll find anywhere in the West.

Browse through our fly selection of over 1500 patterns and sizes. Many of our spring creek flies are tied by world-famous fly tiers like Rene’ Harrop and his family. We offer the finest flies from a variety of other companies and individuals. You will enjoy our broad selection of fly rods, reels, and other fly fishing tackle as well as outdoor clothing, artwork, and gift items. We specialize in flies and tackle for the spring creeks and the Yellowstone River, but you’ll also find a wide selection of gear and flies for salmon, steelhead, and saltwater fly fishing, from bonefish to tarpon and billfish.

Our goal is to help you have a great trip to Montana or to help you pick out just the right tackle you’ll need for your next fishing trip anywhere in the world. Our staff members are all accomplished fly fishermen, and you’ll like the friendly atmosphere here in the shop. We are always happy to take the time to help you get started in fly fishing, give advice on more complex tackle requirements, or just answer your questions on fishing, stream conditions and hatches.
