Yellowstone River Fishing Report
CFS: 1580
TEMP: 60-66°
Thankfully we a bit of a heat reprieve this weekend with some showers and cooler temps. Next week looks like we bump back up into the 90's. Surprisingly the fish have been eating hoppers well on the hotter days last week, (we actually had better reports in the afternoon than the morning).Â
Now that there has been a little more high haze in the air from fires, peach and pink hoppers are often best. Try a mix of sizes from 8-14 depending on if you want to support a tungsten nymph, or if you want to fish just a single smaller hopper. Floating ants patterns have been working well too, especially in the Valley. Â
