Clarity 5/18 at the Shield’s confluence

With temps in the 80’s yesterday the river bumped up significantly. Normally for all fishing intents and purposes the Yellowstone would be blown until late June but with colder temps ahead late this week and weekend there could be one last window according to the hydrologic prediction. As always if you choose to float make sure you are extremely careful and watch your back as we have seen logs floating down already. If you are looking to catch fish there are definitely better options right now, including the Paradise Valley Spring Creeks, tail waters, as well as local and private lakes. Give us a call if you’d like to book a trip or for the latest clarity report. As a reminder out of state visitors or Montana residents who have been out of the state of Montana are still required to exercise a mandatory 14 day self quarantine before they are permitted to go on a guided trip. 1-406-222-7130.
