Clarity in town is only an inch or so, however we have heard there is better clarity between Point of rocks and Emigrant. If you are floating today that would be the recommended section. Caddis have “popped” but due to the mud there hasn’t been many fish rising. The lower Madison has been fishing a little better (and the caddis have shown up there as well).
The Yellowstone will be in and out in terms of clarity for a while now before it “blows out” for Spring Runoff. Give us a call if you are thinking about a float and we’ll have the latest info on whether or not it is worth a try. 406-222-7130.
