Yellowstone National Park Fishing Report

Now that we are past Memorial day, the main YNP waters are now open! (The section of the Yellowstone below the lake opens 7/1). We sell Park Licenses at the shop, or you may also purchase a YNP fishing license online here.
The rivers on the North East side of the Park, (the Gardner, Larma, Soda Butte, Hellroaring, and Slough Creek) are looking good and are now ready to fish! Bring your salmonflies, goldenstones, and sallies (especially the nymphs) as well as some PMD's and green drakes just in case although it is still early.
The Firehole and Madison have also been fishing very well. PMD's and white miller caddis have been hatching daily. Swinging soft hackles has also been productive.
