Yellowstone National Park Fishing Report

Now that we are past Memorial day, the main YNP waters are now open! We sell Park Licenses at the shop, or you may also purchase a YNP fishing license online here.
The rivers on the North East side of the Park, (the Gardner, Larma, Soda Butte, Hellroaring, and Slough Creek) are starting to come into shape. Slough Creek clears up earlier than the rest of these, so that will likely be a little more crowded.
The Firehole has also been fishing very well. PMD's and white miller caddis have been hatching daily. Sometimes in these early stages, it can be harder to get fish to eat the dry, so be sure to bring along some PMD and Miller caddis nymphs and emerger patterns. Swinging soft hackles has also been productive.
