Yellowstone River Fishing Report

Cooler night temps have brought water temps down. As of yesterday, the fish have responded to this as we had good reports coming in across the board.
Nocturnal Stoneflies, caddis, sallies, drakes, craneflies, and PMD's have all been working, as well as classic attractors and streamers. Hoppers are still slow to get going, but we are starting to see more looks and eats on them.
There is still a Hootowl restrictions on the lower Yellowstone from the HWY 89 bridge to WHY 212 (Laurel). If you are not familiar with hootowl restrictions, this means anglers must quit fishing at 2:00PM (until midnight) each day.
Take water temps a few times a day, if the river is above 70 degrees, you might consider calling it a day anyway, (regardless of the hootowl).
