Despite the recent rain on Sunday the river is still looking green and fishable. We had great reports from Father's day with big bugs between Carbella and Loch Leven, and caddis and sallies down low and in town. Also hatching are goldenstones, PMD's, chocolate sedges, and drakes.
Fishing above Yankee Jim with salmonfly nymphs would also be a good move, with dries to follow soon, likely later in the week or this weekend.
Streamers can be a good way to go as well. Typically you won't catch as many fish with this method as dead drifting big nymphs, but the ones you do catch will be quality.
