Yellowstone River Fishing Report

The river is looking good and green again. A small bump on the Lamar showed up, but nothing drastic. It's been raining just about every afternoon (and certainly some in the Park as well, but most of the radar has been green and not red).
Stonefly dries and nymphs have been working, as well as caddis, sallies, drakes, and PMD nymphs. Hoppers and streamers are also worth a shot, especially if you are targeting larger fish.
Due to hotter water temperatures down low, the Yellowstone is now on Hootowl restrictions from the HWY 89 bridge to WHY 212 (Laurel). This means that anglers may fish, but must quit fishing at 2:00PM (until midnight). Take water temps a few times a day, if the river is above 70 degrees, you might consider calling it a day....
