Yellowstone River Fishing Report
CFS:12,200

Clarity at Sacajawea Park, (Thursday, 5/28 at 7:25AM)

CFS on the Yellowstone is finally back on the steady climb. Finally the river is looking like yoo-hoo again with plenty of sticks floating in the bigger eddies. With temps in the mid to high 80's this week, followed by rain this weekend we expect another good push of water to come. Thankfully temps drop back down to the 60's this weekend and next week.

We are expecting an early clearing this year, perhaps around mid-June. We are thinking this could be a great year to fish the Salmonflies as the river will be lower than usual and anglers will be scheduled on other rivers instead of the Yellowstone.

CFS on the lower Madison has remained stable since it began dropping on May 15th. We've been having some solid days over here and the stability is a reflection of that. Streamers, crayfish, sallies, and various caddis patterns have all been working well.

If you are up for a little more windshield time, the Missouri and Bighorn rivers are also fishing well.  Give us a call to book a trip or for the latest clarity/wind report:  1-406-222-7130

*Keep in mind Grey Bear access is closed as they are working on a new parking lot. 89 bridge is open - however you can't access it driving east from Livingston on I-90.  Instead, you'll have to drive past it, exit a Mission Creek, do a u-turn and drive west on I-90 exiting at 89 North. (The reason for this is they are working on the bridge that goes over I-90).
