Yellowstone River Fishing Report - 11/17/25

November 17, 2025

Yellowstone River Fishing Report
CFS: 1470

Noah Riemenschneider, Ryan Mincey with a nice brown!

Fall is here and unfortunately around Livingston, that means a little extra wind.  Keep an eye on the forecasts and the area you want to float.  It might not be a great idea to commit to a 10 mile float if you have to battle a 20 mph steady wind with gusts in the 40s. On such days wade wishing will be a better option for your back.

There have been a lot of 15-18" rainbows getting caught lately, mostly on nymphs but some on streamers and dries. An occasional big brown has been caught (mostly on streamers, being aggressive and territorial).

If you get lucky and get a calm day there have been fall baetis and midges hatching, typically in the afternoon when the temperatures warm up a bit.

Give us a call for more info or to book a trip!  1-406-222-7130.
