There have been a plethora of bugs on the water lately including Salmonflies, Goldenstones, Sallies, Caddis, and Green Drakes. There have also been a good number of boats out there chasing them so you might check with your shuttle driver if you prefer to avoid the crowds. The big bugs can be found anywhere from Gardiner to Loch Leven right now. In general the fishing has been good, not great. As flows drop however, we anticipate the Yellowstone to be fishing better and better, especially once CFS flows hit 8,000 or less at Carter’s bridge.
