Lesley Kovar with a personal best from the Valley! Guide: Marcus McGuire

Fishing has gotten a little tough out there this past week. Mornings have still been challenging, but fish have been eating stonefly patters, rubber leg nymphs, and a variety of tungsten bead jig droppers. The afternoons have still produced the most action with the hopper window fishing best between 11:30-3:00. Water temps through town have stayed below 70 but the lower river has had some days over 70 degrees. For the coldest water look at floating above Yankee Jim canyon or the somewhere in the Valley. There have been a lot of natural hoppers out there Give us a call for the latest report or if you’d like to book a trip. 406-222-7130.
