Streamer fishing for fall browns continues!
A little lunch time brownie...

Those who have been fishing the Stone lately have definitely been battling the elements; wind, snow, mud…  It’s been difficult fishing but also rewarding in terms of quality fish.  Streamers have been about the only method to bring in these beasts, although some pretty nice (16-20″) fish have been caught on nymphs.  Dry fly fishing has been out for a few days with the clarity, however we should have some decent baetis fishing again once this plug flows through.  Today we are sending trips to the upper Valley, which is a good green 1-2 feet of visibility – that same clarity will be in town tomorrow.  Bright or black seems to be the most effective right now, perhaps by Sunday clarity will be ready for olive again…
