The bite is one! Photo: Ashby Bell

The Yellowstone has fished very well the past few days!  Is it the change in the barometric pressure or the phase of the moon??  Who knows, but the fish have been looking up and eating well lately… (just in time for the mud).  Today most guide boats went down low to avoid the mud in the valley.  Tomorrow we should be able to beat the mud either way up high or down low.  The hopper fishing down low is starting to get much better, with dry droppers or nymph droppers.  Wind has been a bit of a challenge, but at least it helps blow the hoppers in the water.  Once this mud plug moves through the valley should be back and fishing well.  Give us a call for the latest report… 406-222-7130.
