Billman Creek and the Shield’s are kicking in some pretty good mud, and the river spiked severely at Corwin today which means mud is on the way. The webcam above Yankee Jim has a cloud over it now, but it looks muddy already so look to float somewhere between Mallard’s to 89 today. Fish have been eating caddis dries, emerges, and nymphs well the past couple nights. The best place to target them have with a dry/dropper rig has been in the foam eddies. The streamer bite has been pretty decent as well. Anything with good contrast to the off color water has been working well, black probably being the most consistent. Better get out there while you can, it looks like this may be it for a while! As always, feel free to call for a clarity report: 406-222-7130.
