The Yellowstone has been nothing short of spectacular the past few days.  At 7,100 CFS and dropping the clarity is great and the fish have been stuffing their faces with Salmonflies, Goldenstones, Yellow Sallies, Caddis, and PMD’s.  They are eating the dry but nymphs are still the most effective way to get fish in the net. Streamers have been working as well but it’s so fun to fish big dries right now.  Plan on fishing thick tippet, (at least 1X) or plan bringing a few extra dries to donate into the willows.  If you’d like to book a trip give us a call, we’ll work hard to make a last minute trip happen for you!  406-222-7130.
